With a background in sculpture and environmental art, a love of exploring places and cultures; Eleanora has a passion for combining utility and art in her work

Máté
Skillfully expressing his creativity in all areas of working with wood, Máté has a particular interest in traditional techniques.
E&M have worked together since 2016. Eleanora is from Scotland and Máté is from Hungary, though having lived in Scotland since 2014 he calls Scotland his home.
They have enjoyed working together in Scotland, Hungary, Central and South America and Iceland. From their times abroad they have discovered how to take their work back to its roots. Learning the full process of sourcing the wood from the forest and milling; their understanding of the medium with which they work is grounded in their environment.
Their love for the natural world grew in their early twenties on a two year journey through Colombia, Ecuador and Peru; traversing the Andes Mountains solo with three mules as their companions.
Their love for the both natural world and wood working is reflected in the care that they take in their work and the artistry in their designs.
